AMSOIL Synthetic Transmission Fluids
Transmissions operate under widely adverse and severe conditions and expose the transmission fluid to wide swings in temperature. As (ATF) automatic transmission fluid ages and overheats, it loses viscosity and forms sludge, which reduces circulation and transmission cooling. Abrasive metals formed by aged transmission fluid will ruin seals and cause damage to internal components. The transmission will start to shift erratically, vibrate and chatter, and eventually fail.

While a manual transmission shifts gears by the command of its operator, an automatic transmission acts as an energy transfer media and shifts automatically based on a variety of variables, including speed and load. Making use of a hydraulic system, in addition to a network of gears and bearings, the lubrication requirements for an automatic transmission are slightly different than those of a manual transmission, requiring a lubricant of different characteristics. Because automatic transmissions are commonly subjected to extensive idling, frequent stops, cold temperature operation, sustained hot weather operation and trailer towing, it is important that they are protected by a high quality lubricant.
AMSOIL transmission fluids provide automatic transmissions with superior friction protection and performance over a wider temperature range than conventional automatic transmission fluids, avoiding breakdown and maintaining its viscosity in temperature extremes.

Are you experiencing transmission problems like overheating, slipping, chattering or even shuttering? If you are, then the answer might be as simple as replacing your transmission fluid with AMSOIL Synthetic ATF to keep the heat away, which is the number one cause of all transmission failures.
There is a lot of mystery that surrounds that big box underneath your car and the sad part is most repair shops know this, which can make you a victim of unnecessary repairs.
First of all, if your car is still under warranty by all means get it into your Dealership and get the problem fixed. If your car is out of warranty, which is normally the case when transmission problems start to occur, then find a reputable transmission repair shop and have it serviced with AMSOIL ATF.
Check this out, it's part of our Information Video Series entitled "Torque Converter Heat"
Nearly 95% of all transmission problems start with inferior transmission fluid that runs too hot. Heat is the death of a transmission and the fluid you choose to run is actually the determining factor on how cool your transmission runs.
If your mechanic tells you that he can solve the problem by adding a transmission cooler then what he is really telling you is your fluid is getting too hot and adding a cooler will keep the heat down. Although a transmission cooler will help a transmission run cooler all you are really doing is adding fluid volume.
Before you go through the expense of adding a transmission cooler your primary concern should be the quality of fluid you are going to use. If the determination was made that your transmission problems were caused by excessive heat then consider switching to AMSOIL.
AMSOIL ATF will not only reduce the temperature of your transmission it will also smooth out the shift points, increase your fuel mileage and give you a 100,000 mile service interval.
The bottom line is this: If your transmission needs servicing there is no sense in putting petroleum oil back in it when that type of fluid probably caused your problems in the first place.
Even if the shop you choose doesn't carry AMSOIL it's your decision on what fluid goes back into your transmission. By switching to AMSOIL you can rest assured that your transmission will run anywhere from 30-50 degrees cooler plus give you the peace of mind there is no better transmission fluid on the market.
Don't let your dealer or transmission shop tell you that AMSOIL doesn't meet the spec for your car. Amsoil makes a transmission fluid for nearly all applications except for the CVT.

Heat is the #1 problem that effects the operation of your transmission. AMSOIL will cut 30-50 degrees off the operating temperature of your transmission. If you don't think 30-50 degrees isn't significant ask someone who has had to replace their transmission.
Statistics show that a typical car owner would rather trade in their car then deal with transmission problems. It doesn't have to be this way because most transmission problems can be prevented simply by switching out the fluid.
If you keep a car for at least 100,000 miles it would be wise to switch the transmission fluid over to AMSOIL as early as possible. This will accomplish two things. First, it will eliminate the chance of having an expensive transmission repair bill in the cars later years. Second, you will typically pick up about a full mile per gallon on your fuel mileage. So the earlier you switch to AMSOIL the sooner it actually pays for itself.
